I am getting older, but can still enjoy dancing to dresden dolls in their cover of violent femmes "add it up". It's the modern dance.

Carol Bui is cold. Colder than i'll ever be, but she makes music though, and she has a killer band overdosed on marquee moon on repeat in the basement, mixed with Thurston Moore, behind her, filling with eternal sounds I simply cannot resist, heaven or hell, a guitarplaying like that, like and early bernard butler, gets me. All the time, always. Take that combined with a drummer that thinks he's Keith Moon, and you get the point.

This is the second album of carol bui, and it reminds me of Hoodoo Gurus around 84, and that my friends, that is a big compliment!

Stoneage romeos, will be re-released October 24. Don't miss it.

Carol is on the same label (54º 40' or Fight! Records) as Alina Simone from Ukraine, who is just out with a strong, P.J Harvey-influenced album, called "Placelessness". Even better than the real thing, if you ask me (I did not like Polly Jeans "chalk")

p.s The band says that it's not her nipples on the cover. As if it matters, carol. As if it matters. Joan Jett is still alive and out there somewhere, recording.
